Dr. Matthew D. Morrison, DMD, MD, MSc, FRCD(C)

Dr. Morrison completed Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at Queen’s University before proceeding to the prestigious McGill University for his Doctor of Dental Medicine (Dentariae Medicinae Doctorem, DMD) degree. After dental school, he was one of six dentists selected to complete a one-year hospital-based dental residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital/University of Toronto. He was then accepted into the illustrious oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) program at London Health Sciences Centre/University of Western Ontario. During his six-years of surgical residency, Dr. Morrison concurrently obtained a Doctor of Medicine (Medicinae Doctorem, MD) degree and another Master of Science degree. Throughout his training, Dr. Morrison was bestowed with numerous scholarships, research grants and awards based on his academic achievements and research efforts. He is now in private practice as a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and remains in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Morrison works part-time as an adjunct clinical professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry (University of Western Ontario), and as a volunteer at The Wright Clinic—a community-based, not-for-profit clinic—in London, Ontario. He is the President of the Oxford OMS Study Club, which aims to educate dentists and dental personnel on the various aspects of implant dentistry. Furthermore, Dr. Morrison is the Secretary-Treasurer for the London and District Dental Society (LDDS), and he is a board member of the LDDS Honours and Awards Committee.

Dr. Morrison has achieved and maintains Fellowship status in the following dental organizations:
– The Royal College of Dentists of Canada
– The International College of Dentists
– The International Congress of Oral Implantologists

Dr. Morrison’s areas of expertise include: dental implant surgery, full arch implant rehabilitation (All-on-X, teeth-in-a-day), wisdom tooth and complex tooth extractions, dentoalveolar bone grafting, maxillary sinus grafting, soft tissue grafting around dental implants, neuromodulator injections for TMJ pain (Botox injections), management of oral and maxillofacial pathology, and the provision of all levels of sedation, including deep sedation/general anesthesia.

When not at work, Dr. Morrison enjoys golfing, exercising, spending time with his wife, Natasha, and walking his French Bulldog, Leo.
